What makes a crumbling piece of parchment resting under glass not only relevant today but also the most important document ever written by the human hand? People willing to fight for certain unalienable rights that are endowed by their creator! Namely…the U.S. Marine Corps.

In the foreground of the Declaration of Independence are U.S. Marines raising the flag at Iwo Jima in 1945. This famous event is a universally recognized image of the United Stated Marine Corps...an organization of Americans that have stood watch over the rights and principles spelled out in the Declaration since it was authored over two centuries ago. To the lover of liberty and to the proponent of human freedom, the USMC is a dream, a covenant fulfilled. To the tyrannical who toil in totalitarianism, oppression and despair, the USMC has been a nightmare realized.
